Christopher Hart to Host & Direct Peccadillo Theater Co.'s Staged Reading of LIGHT UP THE SKY, 7/29; Richard Easton, Liz Larsen & More to Star

Tony Award winner Richard Easton, Liz Larsen, Steve Vinovich, and Glory Crampton are set to star in The Peccadillo Theater Company's upcoming staged reading of Moss Hart's 1948 play LIGHT UP THE SKY this Monday, July 29th at 7 PM at Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street (between Ninth & Tenth Ave.) The evening will be hosted and directed by Christopher Hart, the son of playwright Moss Hart and actress Kitty Carlisle Hart. Featured in the cast of LIGHT UP THE SKY are Peter Cormican (Follies, The Rivalry), Charles E. Gerber ("Royal Pains," "Third Watch"), Lucy Martin (Children of a Lesser God, The Sister Rosensweig), Michael Quinlan ("Blue Bloods," Death of a Salesman w/Dustin Hoffman), Bruch Reed (Lombardi), Tony Triano (The Man Who Came to Dinner), Marisa Vitale ("Bored to Death"), and John Wernke (The Lyons, The Royal Family).

The plot: self-made vindictive wealthy person, inhibited daughter, handsome suitor who may be after her money, parent attempts to torpedo the relationship. Sound familiar? It should. That's basically the storyline of the Henry James novella WASHINGTON SQUARE and the play and film, THE HEIRESS. New Ground Theatre Festival Announces 2013 Lineup

From May 2-11, 2013, Cleveland Play House (CPH) will showcase a variety of new work from nationally recognized artists in its annual New Ground Theatre Festival. The centerpiece of this showcase of new work by America's most exciting playwrights is the world premiere production of Rich Girl, written by Victoria Stewart and directed by CPH Artistic Director Michael Bloom, featuring Tony Award-nominated actresses Dee Hoty and Liz Larsen. A festival highlight this year is an interdisciplinary presentation in partnership DANCE Cleveland of three performances of The Better Half by Chicago-based Lucky Plush Productions, with the help of funding from Arts Midwest Touring Fund with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, and National Dance Project of the New England Foundation for the Arts.
