Broadway favorites, including three-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch as JJ Hunsecker (Hand to God) and Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan as Sidney Falcone (Newsies), will perform staged concert selections from the musical Sweet Smell of Success tonight, May 4 to benefit the American Cancer Society. Titled A Spring Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch, the event will be at the Hudson Theatre (at the Millennium Broadway Hotel) in New York City.

Producer Janet B. Rosen announced today that she will present two private industry readings of the critically acclaimed new musical In Transit on Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8, 2015. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies), In Transit features a book, music and lyrics by Academy Award winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Frozen), James-Allen Ford, Russell Kaplan and Sara Wordsworth.

On Tuesday, April 28th the Theater People Podcast welcomes three-time Tony-nominee Martha Plimpton. Perhaps best know for her TV and film work (RAISING HOPE, THE GOONIES, PARENTHOOD, 200 CIGARETTES), she is also a reproductive rights activist and beloved theater star. On the episode she discusses 'Broadway Acts for Women,' taking place Sunday, May 3rd at 54 Below. The event, benefiting A is For..., an organization co-founded by Plimpton in 2012, will feature Patti LuPone, Lena Hall, and Jessie Tyler Ferguson among other Broadway A-Listers. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Tony-nominated songwriters of Broadway's A Christmas Story, The Musical and composers of the off-Broadway musical Dogfight, are coming to Landmark - and they're bringing their friends. The stars of the Off-Broadway hit Dogfight will reunite on the stage of Landmark on Main Street for a celebration of the music of Pasek and Paul. The concert is set for tonight, April 25, 2015 at 8 PM.

On Monday, April 13th, the Theater People Podcast welcomes ROCKY and ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY star Andy Karl. Karl, who has previously been seen on Broadway in JERSEY BOYS, LEGALLY BLONDE, 9 TO FIVE, and others shot to stardom when he was cast in the title role of Ahrens and Flaherty's $17 million adaptation of the Sylvester Stallone film. Penn State Centre Stage will present the award-winning musical, Dogfight, tonight, April 1-11 at the Downtown Theatre Centre.
