There is a distinct charm to GEORGIANA AND KITTY that makes the audience feel like they are invited for Christmas at Pemberly. You get a true sense these actors are welcoming you to their world, and it’s a place that is joyously cozy for the holidays.

Review: MEDEA at Classical Theatre Company
by Brett Cullum - Sep 11, 2023

Callina is always a smart actress, and she mines this mythical lady for something more than simple madness. No, she finds a way to make her choices as an ultimate strategist even if she is a woman scorned. She is torn at every step of the way by the evilness of her plan, yet she knows if the wrongs are to be given to justice it all has to happen. We believe every second of her conflict, and we mourn with her when the final moments arrive.

Review: Classical Theatre Company's THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL Presents Classical Theatre in An Innovative, Groovy Way at The Deluxe Theater
by Miranda Keating - Jan 20, 2023

THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL is presented with new life! The play reflects a comedy of errors that occurs after a false rumor is purposely spread. In a typical Restoration Comedy, you may expect wigs and quill pens, but this production uses minimal wooden set pieces, modern costumes, and a cast of 6 to tell the story, showcasing the company's creativity.

BWW Review: Classical Theatre Brings a Century-Old Sci-Fi Classic to Houston
by Christian Gill - Jan 26, 2022

Classical Theatre Company has brought R.U.R. to Houston. It quickly became apparent that there were no clear rules on what could happen next. A transition could cover ten years or a few seconds. A character's attitude on death could be funny or horrifying. As the play went on it became clear that this performance would stick in my head for a while.

BWW Review: FEFU AND HER FRIENDS REIGN AT CATASTROPHIC THEATRE
by Suzanne Tidwell - Feb 24, 2020

FEFU AND HER FRIENDS passes the Bechdel test with glowing colors a?" there are no men seen, and only mentioned briefly, even though we feel their presence as plot catalysts. As these women make soup, have water fights and practice French, read aloud from magazines and eat bourbon popsicles, cry and laugh and struggle, they mostly talk about what it is like to be women. How to make space for themselves, and hold space for other women. That is a rare thing.

An outstanding cast takes on a very funny book, and the result is shimmering perfection that is just what audiences need to kick off the summer season. It's like ice cream for the theater world.

BWW Review: GOD'S FAVORITE Highlights Faith & the Human Condition at A.D. PLAYERS
by Audrey Morabito - Jul 16, 2018

Neil Simon's GOD'S FAVORITE does what I believe good theatre is intended to do: take a multifaceted, complex topic and present it in a humanized, relatable, and entertaining manner. This can take many forms, and GOD'S FAVORITE pinpoints perhaps one of my favorite forms of theatrical communication: framing a meaningful, hard-to-wrap-your-mind-around concept within the familiar language of comedy.
