Yesterday, Mark Hamill was honored with the 2,630th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the El Capitan Theatre with special guests Harrison Ford, George Lucas, Billie Lourd, Kelly Marie Tran and R2-D2.

A new group of entertainment professionals in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio and Recording have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was announced yesterday, Thursday, June 22, 2017 by the Walk of Fame Selection Committee of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

The Reigning Queen of Gospel, Shirley Caesar was honored in a jubilant celebration in Hollywood on Tuesday June 28th, as her trailblazing music career was recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Honored in the category of Recording, Shirley Caesar's star was unveiled in front of the Fonda Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, with Pastor Caesar joined by world-renowned artists Yolanda Adams and Kirk Franklin as guest speakers, and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Leron Gubler as the emcee, who also declared it “Shirley Caesar Day” in Hollywood during the ceremony.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce celebrated Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein, the creators of the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, with the 2,577th and 2,578th stars, respectively, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the historic Pantages Theatre yesterday, April 11, 2016. Hollywood Chamber President/CEO Leron Gubler emceed, and unveiling the star were guest speakers Sharon Osbourne on behalf of Lauper, and Marissa Jaret Winokur on behalf of Fierstein. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that actor Ed Harris will be honored with the 2,546th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that songwriters and producers Holland-Dozier-Hollandwill be honored with the 2,543rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame tomorrow, Friday, February 13, at 11:30 a.m. The star in the category of Recording will be dedicated near the Live Nation Building at 7070 Hollywood Boulevard. Holland-Dozier-Holland have reunited for the first time in more than 30 years to write the score for the new Broadway-bound musical First Wives Club, which will make its World Premiere in Chicago on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 and play through March 29, 2015 at the Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph St.).

The Hollywood Arts Council presented their 28th Annual Charlie Awards Luncheon in theBlossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, home of the first Academy Awards ceremony, at a Sold Out event on Friday, April 25, 2014. Shauna McClure, Executive Director of the Hollywood Arts Council said: "This was the record breaking year of all time in the Hollywood Arts Council's 36-year history. The Hollywood Arts Council's 28th Annual Charlie Awards Luncheon, benefiting the Council's arts programs for underserved children in the community, will be held on April 25, 2014. Emceed by ABC7 Television's George Pennacchio, the luncheon will take place in the Blossom Room in the Hollywoof Roosevelt Hotel. Arrivals will happen between 11:15am and 12:00noon, at which time the event begins.
