Elton John and David Furnish return as hosts for the 31st annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. EMMY Award-winning actor Eric McCormack and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Michaela Jaé Rodriguez will join the iconic event as special guests, with singer-songwriter and actress Rina Sawayama set to perform.

Juilliard Pre-College, under the direction of artistic director Yoheved Kaplinsky, celebrates its centennial season with a gala evening on Monday, November 5. Juilliard presents An Evening Celebrating 100 Years of the Juilliard Pre-College Division, featuring distinguished conductor Robert Spano, music director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, leading the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra in a concert with Juilliard faculty member and Pre-College piano alumnus Emanuel Ax, at 7pm in Alice Tully Hall. The program includes Bernstein's Overture to Candide; Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major, Op. 73 ("Emperor"); and Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio espagnol, Op. 34, with additional performances by Pre-College students and alumni.

On November 1, 2018, The New York Landmarks Conservancy will host its 25th Living Landmarks Celebration at The Plaza.  In addition to Chita Rivera, this year's honorees are Stephen S. Lash, Lynden B. Miller, Liz & Jeffrey Peek, Thomas Sculco MD, Ruth Lande Shuman, Michael I. Sovern and Peter Stangl.  The host for the evening is Living Landmark David Patrick Columbia, and music will be provided by Living Landmark Peter Duchin and his Orchestra.  Living Landmarks Arie L. Kopelman and Leonard Lauder are Honorary Co-Chairs for the evening.  More than 500 guests are expected to attend this 25th annual tribute.

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) North Miami will present the exhibition "Tracing the Red Thread," by distinguished South Florida-based artist Mira Lehr, Sept. 6 - Nov. 4, 2018. The multimedia, museum-wide installation will reflect Lehr's eco-feminist philosophy, the concept of mankind working with nature rather than dominating over it. Lehr uses the classical myth of Ariadne to explore the beauty, fragility and interconnectedness of the endangered aquatic ecosystem of the South Florida coast.

The legendary Aretha Franklin will be the special musical guest, along with performances by violinist Joshua Bell and Broadway's The Lion King, featuring Heather Headley. Neil Patrick Harris will host the event.

Thomas P. Campbell, Director and Chief Executive Officer of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, announced today that he will resign effective June 30, 2017. Campbell has served as the institution's Director and CEO since January 1, 2009. He joined The Met in 1996 as curator and expert in the area of tapestries. Daniel Brodsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Met, announced a transition plan for the Museum.
