Theresa Rebeck's MAURITIUS opened Thursday, October 15th at Greenville's Professional Theatre, Centre Stage. The show runs until October 31st.

The Spare Stage production of Lee Blessing's A Body of Water - a Bay Area premiere - opens November 6 and runs through November 22 at EXIT Theatre in San Francisco, with Spare Stage Artistic Director Stephen Drewes at the helm.

The world premiere of Rajiv Joseph's (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) Gruesome Playground Injuries features Selma Blair (Hellboy, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Storytelling, Legally Blonde, NBC's Kath & Kim) playing Kayleen and Brad Fleischer (Center Theatre Group's premiere of Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, Broadway's Coram Boy, Off Broadway's Streamers) playing Doug.

Moonlight and Magnolias, the new comedy hit that tells the behind-the-scenes story of the making of one of the most celebrated movies of all time, will open Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company's 15th anniversary season on the 70th anniversary of the American movie classic Gone with the Wind. The area premiere of Moonlight and Magnolias by Ron Hutchinson opens October 24, 2009.

West Coast Ensemble presents the third show of their 2009 season, the West Coast Premiere of ANITA BRYANT DIED FOR YOUR SINS, written by Brian Christopher Williams and directed by Richard Israel (Big, Floyd Collins). La Jolla Playhouse presents the world premiere of Creditors, adapted and directed by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife) from the play by August Strindberg. A La Jolla Playhouse commission, Creditors opens tonight, September 29, and will run through October 25 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.
