New actors in the roles of young Ralphie and adult Ralph lead the cast in the fifth and final production of A Christmas Story at The Cleveland Play House.

Due to conflicts with the Broadway opening night schedule, Signature Theatre Company is announcing new opening night dates for Parts 2 and 3 of Horton Foote's THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE.

The Active Theater Company proudly presents TWO ROOMS, by Lee Blessing, the company's first show for their 2009-1010 season. Directed by Glory Sims Bowen, the show will play a limited-run December 3-13 at The Workshop Theater Company (312 W. 36th Street, between 8th/9th Avenues).

The Spare Stage production of Lee Blessing's A Body of Water - a Bay Area premiere - opens November 6 and runs through November 22 at EXIT Theatre in San Francisco, with Spare Stage Artistic Director Stephen Drewes at the helm.

They can't remember their own names, much less the relationship between them. Their ensuing pursuit of memory yields both terrifying and comic results, setting them adrift on a leaky raft of postmodern anxiety.

THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE, PART 1: THE STORY OF A CHILDHOOD, the first part of the world premiere, three part theatrical event by the Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award-winning playwright Horton Foote, opens tonight, Thursday, November 19 at Signature Theatre Company at the Peter Norton Space, 555 West 42nd Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues.

Profiles Theatre opens its 21st Anniversary Season with the Midwest premiere of the drama The Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The production runs September 25- November 15, 2009, at Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway. The press opening is Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 8:00 p.m.

Horton Foote's THE ORPHAN HOME CYCLE, currently playing at the Signature Theatre, is featured in the current issue of Christian Science Monitor. The article is titled 'Horton Foote: The playwright's 'Odyssey' for modern times' and is written by Gregory M. Lamb.

On November 9, Primary Stages will host 'Leading Ladies,' the organization's 25th Anniversary Benefit Gala, honoring influential women who have contributed to the theater's work over the past 25 years. The event will take place at the Grand Hyatt New York and begins at 6:30pm.

Charles Busch and Julie Halston will host this year's Primary Stages 25th Anniversary Gala Benefit to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel (109 East 42nd Street) on Monday, November 9, 2009. Renowned theatrical producer and director Woodie King Jr. will teach a master class at Kean University, November 23rd at 3:30 in the Little Theatre, located in Kean's University Center, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ, as part of the 2009 Premiere Artists Series.
