Variety reports that actor Dominic Cooper will be replacing Clive Owen in the upcoming thriller CITIES. According to the report, Owen had pulled out of the film due to scheduling conflicts.

The National Society of Film Critics on Saturday, January 7th, 2012, chose "Melancholia"
as Best Picture of the Year 2011. Kristin Dunst was named best actress for her performance in Lars von Trier's film, and Brad Pitt was named best actor for his work in "Moneyball" and "The Tree of Life." Albert Brooks won best supporting actor for his appearance in "Drive," and Jessica Chastain was named best supporting actress for her work in three films: "The Tree of Life," "Take Shelter" and "The Help."

The first trailer has been released for the upcoming sci-fi romance UPSIDE DOWN. The film is written and directed by Juan Diego Solanas and produced by French company Studio 37, Onyx Films and Montreal's Transfilm through its local branch of Warner Bros. It is set to be released in theaters sometime in 2012. Starring Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst, the film is about a man searching an alternate universe for a long-lost love from his youth.

Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Included in this year's line-up is Price Check, featuring Cheyenne Jackson, Parker Posey, and Annie Parisse.The Festival will be held January 19 through 29 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.
