Opening Night for the 18th Annual South East European Film Festival, took place on Thursday, April 26th, at the Writer's Guild Theater. The competition festival will run through May 3rd and showcases movies from this culturally rich area in East and Southeast Europe with a selection of features, documentaries, and short films.

The Town Hall presents Celebrating the Music of Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye on September 2 at 8pm. This evening of song features Carla Cooke, Sam’s daughter; Garfield Fleming, who toured with the Delfonics and William Hart for more than 25 years; and Brian Owens, who’s rendition of Sam Cooke’s A Change is Gonna Come has 81 million views on YouTube.

Hands on a Hardbody is a regional premier playing through Minneapolis Musical Theatre and is presented at the showroom in the Luther Cadillac in Roseville.

Minneapolis Musical Theatre is returning to the proverbial stage this spring with 'Hands on a Hardbody.' The musical, about 10 hard-luck Texans vying to win a new pickup truck as part of a radio contest, will be produced in the showroom at Luther Cadillac April 22-May 8, 2022.

The Summer Festival, August 8-18, 2019, is the culmination of 5 weeks of preparation by Young Company students and their professional Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers, Stage Managers, and Design Teams. Performed by actors in grades 4-12, The Young Company Summer Festival includes 6 fully staged productions: family friendly Freckleface Strawberry The Musical, hilarious murder mystery Curtains, and the toe tapping classic Singin' in the Rain. High School Students continue the fun with the madcap musical farce Lucky Stiff, as well as musical satire How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and finally the action-packed adventures of She Kills Monsters.

Six years ago today, the uplifting musical Hands on a Hardbody, based on a documentary of the same name, opened on Broadway featuring Broadway favorites like Keala Settle, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and Alison Case! Refuge Theater Project has announced its 2018 - 2019 season including The Last Session, October 25 - December 2 and Hands on a Hardbody, March 29 - May 5, 2019.
