Workshop presentations begin today, February 5, for the Broadway-bound musical Somewhere in Time, based on the novel by renowned author Richard Matheson (I Am Legend, What Dreams May Come) and the subsequent hit film starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour and Christopher Plummer.

Emmy Award-winning actress and comedian Judy Gold will play the role of Eleanor Roosevelt in Clinton The Musical. She will join the previously announced Kerry Butler who has been tapped to play Hillary Rodham Clinton.

According to Telecharge.com, Martin Short will only be continuing with the production through the original closing date of March 29th. He is also out of the show on Sunday, February 15. We'll have to see who steps up as Short's replacement come spring!

Additional Broadway casting was announced today for the highly anticipated musical, The Visit, soon to open on Broadway. The Visit will begin performances at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) on Thursday, March 26 with an Opening Night set for Thursday, April 23. General on sale will begin on January 31, 2015.

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that the smash hit Broadway comedy It's Only a Play, which opened on Broadway on October 9, 2014, has extended its run through Sunday, June 7, 2015. The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2014 (Dec. 1, 2013 - Nov. 30, 2014). The 46th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Beyond the Stars Palace, 417 N. Brand Boulevard in Glendale.

The tour makes its Washington premiere Tuesday, March 17 through Sunday, March 29 at the National Theatre, where Ms. Lansbury made her first pre-Broadway stage debut nearly 58 years ago to the day in Hotel Paradiso.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Kyle Taylor Parker, who is currently earning raves as 'Lola' in the National Tour of the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots, will step into the role on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) for three months, taking over for Tony® Award-winner Billy Porter from January 27 – April 26, 2015.
