After twenty years as the editor of Cabaret Scenes Magazine, Frank Dain is being honored with a one-night-only concert featuring some of the greatest entertainers in the industry.

Pangea, a vital incubator for new work crossing boundaries between theatre, music and elsewhere, will present a diverse mix of entertainers in November.  

Birdland Jazz Club has adjusted its schedule for March. See below for the changes:

National Sawdust continues its fourth season, HEAR IT NEW!, this spring. The organization expands its commitment to the local and national arts scenes through presentations by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, and expands its mission beyond its physical walls through a new series.

Music at the Mansion Features Multi Award Winning Recording Artist, Sterns Mathews NiCori Studios and Productions in association with the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, Music at the Mansion, on Sunday, November 29, at 3pm. Performers include Randie Levine-Miller, Frank Dain and Stearns Matthews.

This show was recently nominated for a BroadwayWorld.com Award in Best Tribute Show category. The Magic of Mathis brings new interpretations to many favorite songs.

Singer Frank Dain, also known to the New York community as the Editor of Cabaret Scenes Magazine, will reprise The Magic of Mathis at Don't Tell Mama, Saturdays Dec. 8th and 15th at 6pm. This show was recently nominated for a Broadway World Award in Best Tribute Show category. The Magic of Mathis brings fresh interpretations to such Johnny Mathis signature tunes as "Chances Are," "It's Not for Me to Say," "Wild Is the Wind," "Misty" and "The Twelfth of Never. " Contributing creative arrangements is Dain's frequent collaborator, Musical Director Kathleen Landis, a popular pianist who is missed by many people at the Cafe Pierre, where she entertained audiences for years. The Magic of Mathis will also include some more obscure songs, as well, such as "99 Miles from L.A.," "Yellow Roses on Her Gown," "I'll Be Easy to Find" and "Photograph," all part of Mathis's remarkable 56-year career. The show, which ran very successfully at Metropolitan Room in September, has been directed by the Multi-award winning director/entertainer, Lennie Watts.

In four performances at New York City's Metropolitan Room, Dain brought fresh interpretations to such Johnny Mathis signature tunes as "Chances Are," "It's Not for Me to Say," "Wild Is the Wind," "Misty" and "The Twelfth of Never. Frank Dain returns to the cabaret stage beginning Saturday with his first solo show in 13 years. In four performances at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, Dain premieres "The Magic of Mathis," bringing fresh interpretations to Johnny Mathis signature songs. Contributing creative arrangements is Dain's frequent collaborator, Musical Director Kathleen Landis. The multi-award winning director/entertainer Lennie Watts directs. Performances are Saturdays, September 8 & 15 at 7pm, and Fridays, September 21 & 28 at 7pm.
