DNA's LateNite Presents IT’S LIKE WE ARE INFILTRATORS, PART II, 10/5 & 6

Dance New Amsterdam (DNA), NYC's foremost progressive dance education center and performance space, champions experimentation in its rowdy LateNite series, a triannual portion of the DNA PRESENTS season, which gives a voice to artists working within the mediums of performance art, burlesque and experimental theater. The season's first installment, IT'S LIKE WE ARE INFILTRATORS, PART II, is a multi-disciplinary and installation-based evening curated and conceived by Neal Medlyn. The performances tonight, October 5 and tomorrow night, October 6 will also feature his original music, both live and recorded. Each hour-long performance begins at 10:00 p.m.

The Kitchen and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, present the U.S. premiere of Danza Permanente, from DD Dorvillier and her human future dance corps, as part of the 2012 Crossing the Line festival.

The Flea Extends JOB Through 11/3

After selling out almost all of its originally scheduled performances, The Flea Theater announces an extension of the New York premiere production of JOB, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin Kamine. Previews began August 31, with opening night slated for Wednesday, September 19. Originally scheduled to end October 7, performances will now run through November 3.

The Flea Theater announces the U.S. Premiere of I HATE f**kING MEXICANS by Luis Enrique Gutierrez Ortiz Monasterio "the enfant terrible of contemporary Mexican theater." Translated by Debbie Saivetz, Ana Graham, and Danya Taymor and directed by Ms. Taymor, a Flea Resident Director; the production will feature members of The Bats and The Riot Group's Adriano Shapman. Previews begin October 9, with opening night slated for October 18 at 9pm.

Kathy Najimy, Annette O’Toole and More Set for HERESY Off-Broadway

The Flea Theater will present the limited Off-Broadway engagement of HERESY by A.R. Gurney, directed by Jim Simpson, featuring Kathy Najimy (Sister Act, King of the Hill, Veronica's Closet), Annette O'Toole (Smallville, Southern Comfort), Ariel Woodiwiss (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Reg E. Cathy (The Wire), Steve Mellor (Nixon's Nixon) and introducing Tommy Crawford and Danny Rivera, members of The Bats, The Flea's resident company of actors in their professional debut. Previews of this World Premiere begin September 29 with opening night slated for Thursday, October 11.

La MaMa presents the World Premiere of The Etiquette of Death, a Chris Tanner Production co-directed by Everett Quinton and Julie Atlas Muz, and choreographed by Julie Atlas Muz, with contributions by a slew of New York's finest downtown artists. The Etiquette of Death, the final show of La MaMa's 50th Anniversary season, runs now through July 1, 2012 in a limited engagement at the Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue & the Bowery in New York City.
