THE TRIBUTE ARTIST and ALMOST, MAINE Cast Members Set for THEATER TALK, 2/7-10

The newest THEATER TALK features two new Off-Broadway productions that showcase their writers as performers: The Tribute Artist by Charles Busch and Almost, Maine by John Cariani. Joining Charles Busch on the show is his current co-star and frequent sidekick, actress Julie Halston, celebrating the premiere production of the new play at 59E59 Theaters. Later, John Cariani - whose Almost, Maine was first produced in 2002, and is now one of the most frequently produced plays of the past decade - is accompanied by director, Jack Cummings III, Artistic Director of Transport Group, who is helming the revival of the play, now at The Gym at Judson.

Broadway's Julie Halston, currently featured in Charles Busch's new play The Tribute Artist, will host the Fourth AnnualBroadway Belts for PFF! to benefit the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) on February 24 at 7:00pm at Birdland Jazz Club (315 West 44th Street) as part of "Broadway at Birdland" series. All proceeds will benefit The Michael Kuchwara Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, Education, and Advocacy. Stage & Screen, a collaboration between Coolidge Corner Theatre and Huntington Theatre Company that explores the depictions of shared themes in Huntington productions and acclaimed films continues its second season of collaboration on Monday, January 6 at 7pm with Secretary starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader. The screening will be followed by a conversation moderated by Boston Globe columnist Meredith Goldstein with Venus in Fur director Daniel Goldstein and actors Andrea Syglowski and Chris Kipiniak.
