As previously announced, New York Theatre Barn in collaboration with Prospect Theater Company will present the new all-female musical I Married Wyatt Earp at 59E59 Theaters May 20 - June 12, 2011. The production officially opens on Tuesday, May 24 and stars Heather Mac Rae (Falsettos, Hair, A Catered Affair) and Carolyn Mignini (Tintypes, Fiddler on the Roof).

On the eve of the opening of I Married Wyatt Earp, New York Theatre Barn will present A Celebration of Women Composers. The evening will benefit New York Theatre Barn and will feature songs by emerging songwriters Julia Meinwald (Pregnancy Pact), Zoe Sarnak (The Quad), Katya Stanislavskaya (Women on Love), and Shaina Taub (The Daughters).

New York Theatre Barn has launched several original song auctions by New York's vibrant and emerging musical theatre writing community to benefit the 4 year old non-profit theatre company, now through May 9. The company is dedicated to the investigation, development, and advancement of new plays and musicals, and is thrilled to be offering this exciting opportunity.

This year's thirty-show lineup features a range of talent, covering everything from sketch comedy to musical theater to ventriloquist rock, all on the Ars Nova stage! Conceived as a way of offering emerging artists of all kinds a point of entry into the New York arts community, this year's shows were selected from an open submission process that drew nearly 200 applicants. Now in its third year, the festival of All New Talent has quickly established itself as the premier destination to catch an eclectic mix of brand new music, theater and comedy shows. It has also become an important first step in the development process of various projects, such as Seven Minutes in Heaven (ANT Fest 2009; HERE Arts Center Spring 2010), Songs of a Night Owl (ANT Fest 2009, Berkshire Theater Festival Summer 2010 as Pool Boy), Samuel and Alasdair (ANT Fest 2009, 2010 NY Independent Theater Award for Outstanding Production of a Play), and Ithaca (ANT Fest 2008, sold out Joe's Pub run in 2009). In addition to the thirty ANT Fest shows, Ars Nova will also be offering its hit variety show, Showgasm, throughout the Fest. Featuring a mix of current and previous Fest artists, the first installation will be a special ANT Fest Kickoff Showgasm, at 8pm on October 18. The Dramatists Guild of America announces the tenth annual presentation by the Dramatists Guild Fellowship Program's participants on Monday, September 20, 2010, at 7 p.m. The evening will consist of 10-minute monologues, scenes and songs, written by the Guild Fellows. Refreshments will be served.

Christopher Larkin (who starred as Young Bruce Lee in last year's reading of the Broadway-bound musical Bruce Lee: Journey to the West), Rory Lipede, and Jon-Michael Reese will star in Harrison David Rivers' WHEN LAST WE FLEW, premiering in the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, with performances from August 18th-August 29th.

WHEN LAST WE FLEW begins its 2010 New York International Fringe Festival run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre August 19th, with performances thru August 29th.

An array of emerging songwriters will perform music from their own catalogues at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on August 9.
