The American Theatre Wing's Jonathan Larson and MAC's John Wallowitch Award-winning songwriter Joel B. New presents an eclectic evening of his songs at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, October 6th at 9:30pm. Along with a lineup of singers from Broadway and beyond -- including Madge Dietrich (Kinky Boots), CK Edwards (Shuffle Along), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Women On The Verge…), Victoria Huston-Elem (Finding Neverland), Travis Kent (Disaster!), Richard Riaz Yoder (Hello, Dolly!), Ben Roseberry (Gentleman's Guide…), Hansel Tan (The Four Immigrants), and Michael Winther (Fun Home) -- New will perform highlights from his diverse collection of projects, many of which appear on his forthcoming sophomore album, sardonically entitled Joel B. New Is Trying Too Hard. The evening features musical direction by Gillian Berkowitz (Avenue Q), with New co-directing alongside Robbie Rozelle (Songs From Inside My Locker).

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, a dynamic hub for the lively arts and vital community resource, presents a dozen classical, jazz and contemporary music programs featuring some of the era's most compelling musical artists during the 2018/2019 season. World premieres, programs with thought-provoking social commentary and timeless iconic works are among the offerings.

Tony Award-winning actress, singer and performer Idina Menzel is set to release her upcoming album, idina: live, on October 5. The two-disc album was recorded live on the final nights of her 2017 World Tour. The record is available for pre-order tomorrow Friday, September 7 and includes an immediate download of Menzel's studio version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water." The track will also be available for streaming on all digital platforms tomorrow.

The Green Room 42 Presents stage and television performer, Andrea Wolff, in her new cabaret, I Can't Trace Time, a passionate and whimsical look at the arc of life. Featuring a signature mixture of pop and Broadway, Andrea Wolff's I Can't Trace Time features a master entertainer who has been widely lauded for her strong comic timing, offbeat and compelling characterizations and superb taste in music. Prolific, award winning British Composer and Musical Director/Arranger, Jude Obermuller will lead a quintet and Special Guest Artist, guitarist Sean Harkness will appear. The show is directed by 2018 MAC and Bistro Award winning writer-actor, Dan Ruth. The Green Room 42 is located on the fourth floor of YOTEL NYC, on Tenth Avenue between 42nd and 41st Streets . Drawing upon the best talent from churches in and around Soweto, the internationally acclaimed choir shares the unique and inspirational power of African Gospel music. "Spirited and spectacular"(New York Times), the concert is entitled Songs of the Free; it includes South African classics as well as freedom songs and gospel music much loved by Mandela, for whom the choir had the privilege of performing on multiple occasions.

A superb classical musician, Lucia Micarelli is recognized throughout the world for being a featured soloist with Josh Groban, Chris Botti, Jethro Tull, and also for her starring role on the critically acclaimed HBO series "Treme." From classical to jazz to traditional fiddle music and Americana, Micarelli's trademark emotional vulnerability and technical wizardry bind it all together for an incredible evening of music.
