Marena Perez, principal dancer of the Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico, and Daniel Ramirez, principal soloist of the Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico, will appear as guest artists in the Midstate Ballet's production of The Nutcracker. The Performances will take place on December 8 (Evening) and 9 (Matinee), 2012 at the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center in York, Pennsylvania.

Making Books Sing (MBS), the critically acclaimed New York-based non-profit that promotes children's literacy and social development through professional theater productions and arts-in-education programs will, in conjunction with The Louis Armstrong House Museum and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College will present the world-premiere Off-Broadway musical LOUIS ARMSTRONG: JAZZ AMBASSADOR with book by Myla Churchill (MBS's "A Band of Angels") and featuring music made famous by Louis Armstong. Preview performances of LOUIS ARMSTRONG: JAZZ AMBASSADOR begin November 3rd prior to an official opening date of November 4th at Theater 3 (311 West 43rd Street) in Manhattan.

Nimbus Dance Works's 9th season marks the company's most extensive year of performances and programs to date. Performance highlights include the company's debut at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), Centenary College, the Major Artist Series at The Theater at Raritan Valley, Flushing Town Hall, and the Jersey City Artists Studio Tour. Additionally, the company will return to Rutgers University, to The Putney School (Vermont) and to Grace Church Van Vorst for the company's Jersey City Spring Season.

Designed to look like posters advertising a performance, the stamp art captures the luminosity and mystery of a live dance performance.
The stamp design for Isadora Duncan reflects her interest in classical Greek dance forms and shows the seemingly effortless style that she developed. Radical for its time, her linking of movement and expressiveness garnered her worldwide critical acclaim.

Making Books Sing (MBS), the New York-based non-profit that promotes children's literacy and social development through arts-in-education programs and professional theatre productions, will present the Off-Broadway premiere of the family musical THE BUTTERFLY - with book and lyrics by Barbara Zinn Krieger and music by Charles Greenberg - with previews beginning April 14 prior to an official press opening of April 15 at Theater 3 (311 West 43rd Street) in Manhattan. Brad Malow will direct and music direction is by Tim Rosser.

New York Theatre Ballet's (NYTB) Signatures 12 presents the world premiere of Gemma Bond's Run Loose, the U.S. premiere of Antonia Franceschi's City Scenes, Richard Alston's A Rugged Flourish as well as new productions of three classic works, Merce Cunningham's Septet, Jose Limon's The Moor's Pavane, and James Waring's An Eccentric Beauty Revisited--all on March 9 and 10 at New York City's Florence Gould Hall. NYTB Artistic Director Diana Byer commented, "We love the old and are interested in the new, performing them together creates a greater context for understanding both."
