After a critically acclaimed World Premiere at the Balagan Theatre in Seattle Washington, ThanksKilling The Musical will be making its New York debut at the 1st annual Festival of the Offensive this spring.

Contestants in LA's Next Great Stage Star competition had an exciting second week on Sunday, January 12th. The theme for this round was Breaking New Ground - A Little New Music, and featured songs from some of today's most up and coming musical theatre writers.

Broadway's Future Songbook Series - presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul - will continue Dec. 14 at 2:30 PM and Dec. 16 at 6 PM with two holiday concerts featuring new holiday songs.

It's the day after Thanksgiving and suddenly I feel myself getting attacked from a Thanksgiving turkey. No, it's not my Sister's cooking but the world premiere offering from Balagan Theatre of "Thankskilling, The Musical". It's still the completely offensive and hilarious show I saw in the summer as part of Balagan's Summer New Works readings but now a little more fleshed out. And while the humor is still there the production felt it needed a little more cooking time. The bird was just a tad underdone.

Balagan Theatre will present the world premiere of ThanksKilling the musical, adapted from the eponymous cult-hit horror movie about a possessed turkey on a deadly mission to avenge his tortured ancestors, Friday, November 29, through Saturday, December 14, in the Cornish Playhouse Studio at Seattle Center. The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) has announced final casting for the 25th Annual Festival of New Musicals on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

MadBromance Productions announced today that final casting has been set for the 29-hour reading of JAWBREAKER: THE MUSICAL on Thursday, September 26thand Friday, September 27th at 3p.m. With a book by Darren Stein who wrote and directed the 1999 film, JAWBREAKER has music and lyrics by Jeff Thomson and Jordan Mann (Trails), choreography by Shea Sullivan (The Big Gay Musical), musical supervision by James Sampliner (Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer) and is directed by Gabriel Barre (The Wild Party).

According to a Tweet by Frankie Grande, he and Liz Gillies are set to star in JAWBREAKER when the show comes to Broadway.

Jeff Thompson, Jordan Mann and Balagan Theatre should be ashamed of themselves as last night they opened Balagan's New Works Summer Series with Thompson and Mann's musical horror spoof "Thankskilling" based on the indie horror film of the same name. It was crude, lowbrow, crass, offensive … and one of the funniest things I've seen in awhile.

On April 1st, 'Miles Of Time' from the musical TRAILS was featured on New Day Northwest Seattle. The writing teams, representing more than twenty new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.
