The Music Business Association (Music Biz) today announces this year's inductees for its Music Business Hall of Fame, including the late Sir George Martin, who will be inducted by his son Giles Martin. This year's honorees will be recognized during the Music Biz 2019 Awards & Hall of Fame Dinner -- sponsored by BuzzAngle Music, City National Bank, Cracker Barrel, Jammber, and TiVo -- as part of Music Biz's Annual Conference on Tuesday, May 7 at 7 pm.

Due to high audience demand, Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces the third extension of Guitar Girls, which celebrates some of the past century's greatest female singer-songwriters, and is now playing through April 21.

It's usually the vocalists who garner the most enthusiasm and devotion from the music loving public.  The human voice and a singer's personality are able to convey emotion and musicality in a very distinct way.  Then there is the the charisma and trumpet of Chris Botti to challenge that hypothesis.  Chris Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist because of his artistry and ability to electrify an audience with his music and his gracious and elegant personality.  Early on in his concert last night Botti referred to The Kravis Center as Carnegie Hall South. With music programming like this in West Palm Beach he might have to greet a New York City audience at the legendary Concert Hall on 57th street by saying welcome to the Kravis Center North!

As the closer to Alberta Theatre Project's 2018/2019 season - and coming off of the announcement in August of 2018 to exchange this show for another - all eyes were on The New Canadian Curling Club...Directed by Artistic Director Darcy Evans, this two act play set the goal of diversity and inclusive storytelling and I don't think it follows through.

After touring North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Mission, and Surrey, Arts Club's touring show CIRCLE GAME made its stop in Coquitlam last week. Playing in Coquitlam at the Evergreen Cultural Centre from March 6th to 9th, CIRCLE GAME is a "reimagining of the music of Joni Mitchell" featuring many of her hit songs such as "Both Sides Now," "A Case of You," and "Big Yellow Taxi." With many more stops to go on their tour around British Columbia, the magic of Joni Mitchell's music will reach audiences near and far.

One of the world's most distinctive singing voices, Michael McDonald is often imitated but never duplicated. Hoff-Barthelson Music School's Annual Benefit Concert, the School's largest fundraising event of the year taking place on Sunday March 31, 2019, will feature 2019 Grammy award winner John Patitucci and his Jazz Trio. The concert will include special appearances by advanced HBMS jazz and chamber music students. The event will be held in the main sanctuary of the Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing Benelux has signed a worldwide deal with Dutch rapper Lil' Kleine aka Jorik Scholten in collaboration with music publishing company Hitmen, which is co-owned by Scholten.

Morrissey is set to hit Broadway for the first time in his career playing a retrospective show at New York City's hallowed Lunt-Fontanne Theater. The affair will run for seven days from May 2nd to May 11th and promises an intimate yet exciting exploration of Morrissey's expansive career from his early days to his upcoming new record 'California Son': a collection of 1960/70s classic covers out on May 24th via Etienne Records/BMG.
