Olney Theatre Center has added five outdoor film screenings to its schedule for the Olney Outdoors series, presented on the newly renovated Root Family Stage at Omi's Pavilion. It also announced a daytime sing-along screening of Cinderella in the 1938 Original Theatre.

Directed by Luke Pilgrim and Brad Kennedy (SOZO Bear Films), the 80’s inspired music video depicts the infatuation between a man and a sales woman. Driving At Sunset is produced by Matt Goldman (Underoath, Anberlin), mixed by Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons), and mastered by Ted Jensen (NEEDTOBREATHE, Florence + The Machine).

Writer/director John Hughes’ seminal comedy about a high school student’s wild adventures in the Windy City during a single, magnificent day off continues to be enjoyed, quoted, and revered.  The enduring classic captures the uproarious antics of Ferris and his friends as they relish the freedom of being not quite grown up.

Produced by Matt Goldman (Underoath, Anberlin), mixed by Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons), and mastered by Ted Jensen (NEEDTOBREATHE, Florence + The Machine), breezy stories of unrequited love, earnest confessions, and genuine emotion color the ten songs on the new album. Just out of prison for a string of inexplicable arsons, a celebrated novelist returns home to Venice, California with a dark and singular goal. Set against the splendor and privation of modern Los Angeles, this dark, poetic drama excavates painful human truths, exploring how early violence and unresolved loss can lead to addiction and madness. Hollow Visions Productions will bring The Arsonist of Venice to the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

The musical may have many flaws, but this is one stellar production of it featuring so many fabulously talented teens.

On the much-anticipated new release, THE BLSSM is pensive about the future, bearing her soul with introspective lyrics over an upbeat, John Hughes movie-style soundtrack. The song is playful in its catchiness, yet intertwined with deeper elements. The track was released alongside a music video. Watch it now!

JEAN LOUISA KELLY – the stage and screen star from the original Broadway cast of Into the Woods, and the movies Uncle Buck, Mr. Holland's Opus, The Fantasticks, and Top Gun: Maverick – will return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre with “Anything Can Happen!” for two additional shows after her sold-out New York concert debut earlier this year. The encore performances will take place Friday, March 31 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, April 1 at 9:30 PM.
