On Sunday, November 16 (7:30pm), Classic Stage Company Associate Director and Tony Award winner John Doyle will take a look back at the legendary work of Chita Rivera. Doyle and Rivera will discuss the stage and film star's six-decade career in which she became the first Latino American to receive a Kennedy Center Honors award, a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and a nine-time Tony Award nominee.

Pride Films and Plays annual fall benefit Simply Sensational: Legends will reach new heights this year when Tony Award Winner Donna McKechnie headlines the event on October 20. She will be joined on stage by other musical guests American Idol Finalist Devin Velez, Colte Julian from Million Dollar Quartet, and Ryan Lanning from Bailiwick Chicago's The Wild Party. WGN's Dean Richards serves again as the emcee, which features a preshow reception at 6 pm, the performance at 7, and a post show champagne toast with Ms. McKechnie.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone in 'Far Away Places - Part Two' November 3 -15. In an evening conceived and directed by Tony Award winner Scott Wittman, LuPone returns with Part Two of the show which she premiered to critical acclaim when 54 Below opened in June 2012. In this continuation of the show (which will include a few encores from the landmark Part One) she further explores her wanderlust, performing songs by an eclectic group of songwriters including Irving Caesar, Billy Joel, David Yazbek, Johnny Mercer and Kris Kristofferson.

Five-time Grammy-Award winning singer-songwriter and 2012 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Mary Chapin Carpenter is on the road again. She'll make a stop at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, November 19, at 8 p.m. with an intimate, acoustic performance! The tour marks Carpenter's return to singing both timeless hits and deep cuts from her expansive and beloved 13-album catalog, after performing with orchestras in early 2014. Mary Chapin Carpenter is well-known for her blend of pop, folk and country-style music. With hits "Passionate Kisses", "I Feel Lucky", "I'll Take My Chances" and "He Thinks He'll Keep Her", she has won five Grammy Awards (with 15 nominations), two CMA awards and two Academy of Country Music awards for her vocals. Carpenter will be joined on stage by longtime friends Jon Carroll (piano) and John Doyle (guitars, bouzouki). Special guest is singer/songwriter Tift Merritt, who has built what has been called a 'unique' and critically acclaimed body of work of 'sonic short stories and poignant performances". Broadway legend Chita Rivera makes her Williamstown Theatre Festival debut opposite Festival favorite and former Artistic Director Roger Rees in the newest incarnation of Kander and Ebb's THE VISIT, the musical based on the 1956 tragicomedy by Swiss playwright Friedrich Durrenmatt, with book by Terrence McNally. Director John Doyle has reimagined it as a one-act with a focus on the love story, and his collaboration with Choreographer Graciela Daniele results in a show that makes movement a vital component to convey elements of the narrative without words.
