Above Board Theatre to Present World Premiere of NIGHT AND DAYAbove Board Theatre to Present World Premiere of NIGHT AND DAY
by BWW News Desk - May 17, 2017

San Diego's innovative new Above Board Theatre Company is excited to announce the World Premiere of Night and Day, a debut production with music and lyrics by Joe Jackson. Based on Jackson's 1983 Grammy-nominated album of the same name, Night and Day will be mounted for the first time at the 2017 San Diego International Fringe Festival. After the album's release, The New York times said that it '...captures the flavor and tempo of contemporary Manhattan very evocatively.' Weaving pop, salsa and Afro-Cuban beats, the album spawned two chart-topping hits, the popular 'Steppin' Out' and 'Breaking Us In Two,' well-known anthems of the decade. (more...)
