Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that Tony Award winner Nathan Lane will return to the Broadway's biggest hit comedy It's Only a Play in the role of James Wicker on March 31, 2015 and will continue with the production through its scheduled closing date of June 7, 2015. Lane departed It's Only A Play on January 4, 2015 due to a previously scheduled commitment with the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) staging of The Iceman Cometh. (more...)

Following an acclaimed tryout at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, An American In Paris begins final rehearsals for Broadway on Monday, February 9. Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that the smash hit Broadway comedy It's Only a Play, which opened on Broadway on October 9, 2014, has extended its run through Sunday, June 7, 2015. Originally announced as a limited engagement through January 4th, It's Only a Play was recently extended through March 29th at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street), where it will now play through June 7th. Tickets are now on sale for all performances. Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that TonyŽ Award winner Matthew Broderick has extended his contract with Broadway's smash hit It's Only A Play. Originally scheduled to appear in the production through its original closing date of January 4th, Broderick will continue to star in the production through its new end date on March 29, 2015. Broderick currently stars in the production opposite Nathan Lane, who exits on January 4th for a previously scheduled professional commitment. Beginning January 7th, Broderick will headline It's Only A Play opposite the previously-announced Martin Short. (more...)

The producers of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It have announced that the Broadway production will play its final performance today, June 15, 2013 after 27 previews and 478 regular performances at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). The producers of the new Broadway revival of THE HEIRESS have announced that the production will now play its final performance on Saturday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. (note the new early curtain time). The previously scheduled Sunday, February 10 closing performance has been cancelled to enable Jessica Chastain, who plays the title character, to attend the BAFTA Awards (the British equivalent to the Academy Awards) where she is nominated for Best Actress on Sunday, February 10th in London. Ms. Chastain is nominated for an Academy Award and has already received Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards for her performance in the film Zero Dark Thirty.
