Ian Rickson directs Brendan Coyle (Mickey), Rupert Grint (Sweets), Daniel Mays (Potts), Colin Morgan(Skinny), Ben Whishaw (Baby) and Tom Rhys Harries (Silver Johnny) in a major West End revival of Jez Butterworth's award-winning Mojo, reuniting director and writer who previously collaborated on the play's world premiere at the Royal Court in 1995. Mojo will preview at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 26 October 2013 with press night on 13 November and is booking to 25 January 2014. Steep Theatre Company's 13th Season will begin in grand fashion tonight, October 3rd with the North American Premiere of Motortown by Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens. The production will be directed by Steep Artistic Associate and two-time Jeff Nominated director Robin Witt. The Stephens-Witt playwright- director tandem has proven a winner in the past at Steep, resulting in two of the more memorable shows in recent Chicago theater history: Harper Regan and Pornography. Motortown will be the first Simon Stephens production in Chicago since he received the 2013 Olivier Award for Best New Play for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night. The production is also Ms. Witt's first Steep offering since her 2012 hit production of Dennis Kelly's Love and Money. (more...)

According to the Daily Mail, Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) will make his stage debut in a revival of MOJO by Jez Butterworth. Grint joins Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), Ben Whishaw (Skyfall) and Daniel Mays (Mrs Biggs, Made In Dagenham). 'Edge of Tomorrow' has been announced as the title of the upcoming sci-fi thriller starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, directed by Doug Liman and based on the book All You Need is Kill. The movie, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, is set for release on June 6, 2014, and the first look at footage from the film will be unveiled by the Studio at this year's International Comic-Con: San Diego on Saturday, July 20. Baz Bamigboye writes in his column that Grint recently lead a reading of Jez Butterworth's play MOJO, opposite Ben Whitsaw, Daniel Mays, and Robert Sheehan. The workshop was held by Ian Rickson, who directed the original 1995 Royal Court production, and negotiations are reportedly underway to bring the drama to the West End in 2014. (more...)
