On Saturday, July 23rd, I had the pleasure of seeing a truly first-rate production, a phenomenal performance of one of the greatest musicals ever written!  Musicals at Richter, in Danbury, continues with their legacy of providing audiences what we yearn for in live theater, the right shows with the right cast.  Rodgers and Hammerstein’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC was the perfect show to see outdoors on this lovely July night. Under the excellent direction of Jessica Smith, musical direction of Adam Snyder, and choreography of Lindsay Miller, this stellar cast truly made the hills come alive, on this new stage featuring a stunning set designed by John McMahon, complete with moveable pieces. The cast members radiate positive energy from the stage, truly entertaining the audience, and having fun playing their roles!

Musicals at Richter (MAR), Connecticut's longest-running outdoor theater, will celebrate its 38th season with the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

Oklahoma International Dance Festival returns for its second in-person dance intensive since its inception in 2020.  The Festival, which will run from July 17 to 31 at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK, was formed to educate, enrich, and entertain through the highest quality of dance. 

Musicals at Richter (MAR), celebrating its 38th season as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, has announced 2022 season auditions for its upcoming productions of 'In the Heights' and 'The Sound of Music.' Auditions will be held Monday through Wednesday, April 18-20 and Friday, April 22 at the Richter House Arts Center.

On International Women's Day, Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, Queens Theatre will present 'Turning in Place II.' This is the first time that the annual film festival celebrating the work of emerging female choreographers will be live at Queens Theatre.

Arts On Site has announced the film premiere of Dual Rivet's In Capsule, February 24-26, 2022 at 7:30 PM at Studio 3R, 12 St. Mark's Place, NYC.

Arts On Site (AOS) announced their February performances. They are featuring dance, music, and film in the heart of the East Village at Studio 3R, 12 St. Mark's Place, NYC. They will present an All Women Choreographers APAP Showcase Series, which will take place on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 8:30pm and Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 8:30pm.

On Friday, November 26, The Sherman Playhouse will open its hilarious holiday musical revue, WRECK THE HALLS, written, directed and choreographed by Brad Blake with music direction by Charles Smith. The curtain rises at 8:00 p.m. for a four week run.
