Playwrights Horizons' world premiere production of GRAND CONCOURSE, a new play by playwright and two-time Obie Award-winning actress Heidi Schreck (author of There Are No More Big Secrets, Creature, Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie'), has an opening night set for Wednesday, November 12 at 7PM. The limited engagement will play through Sunday evening, November 30, at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). Directed by Kip Fagan (The Revisionist, Asuncion), the play is the second production of the acclaimed theater company's 2014/2015 Season. It follows the critically-acclaimed Bootycandy, a new play written and directed by Robert O'Hara, which concludes its extended run this Sunday evening on the Mainstage.

Producers have announced that the first Broadway revival of the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning Wendy Wasserstein play The Heidi Chronicles will begin performances February 23, 2015, at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) with an official opening on Thursday, March 19, 2015. It will star Golden Globe-winner and six-time Emmy Award-nominee Elisabeth Moss ('Mad Men,' 'Top of the Lake,' Speed-the-Plow) as Heidi Holland - a woman willing to do what it takes to take on the world. It will also star Emmy Award-nominee Jason Biggs ('Orange Is The New Black,' American Pie), and Tony Award-nominee Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), and will feature Tracee Chimo (Lips Together, Teeth Apart, 'Orange Is The New Black,' Bad Jews) with additional casting to be announced.

By The Water, the new play by Sharyn Rothstein, directed by Hal Brooks, begins performances tonight, November 4 at 7:30PM as part of The Studio at Stage II -- Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center -- Stage II (131 West 55th Street). The Public Theater announced a two-week extension today for The Fortress of Solitude, a world premiere musical based on the nationally best-selling novel of the same name by Jonathan Lethem. With a book by Itamar Moses, music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, and conceived and directed by Daniel Aukin, The Fortress of Solitude began previews on Tuesday, September 30 and was officially scheduled to close on Sunday, November 2. It will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, November 16.
