Due to the inclement weather, Disney's NEWSIES screening, scheduled for tonight as part of Broadway in the Boros, has been postponed until next Monday, July 31.

'Bonnie and Clyde' failed when it premiered on Broadway in December 2011, only lasting 36 performances. Still, it helped launch the careers of Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes, gaining a cult following with its rich soundtrack infused with blues, country, gospel and rock music.

BE MORE CHILL - the new musical with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis, book by Joe Tracz, and based on the novel by Ned Vizzini - will be licensed by R&H Theatricals, a division of Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Opening tonight in Gallatin is Scott Seidl and Stephen Kummer's Civil War musical Across the Lines, running through Saturday night at CenterStage, 250 Hancock Street. The new musical, based on a true story drawn from the letters of Captain Robert A. Ragan and his memoir Escape From East Tennessee to the Federal Lines, continues its development with the three performances which feature a cast of local artists who bring the various characters in the story to life.

Pittsburgh CLO presents Disney's NEWSIES for the first time, tonight, July 18, through July 23 at the Benedum Center. Inspired by the Newsboy Strike of 1899 and based on the cult-hit Disney film, NEWSIES tells a tale of strife and triumph with Tony Award-winning music, daring choreography and a touch of New York City grit. Ghostlight Records will release of the Original Cast Recording of Bubble Boy, the new musical based on the 2001 cult classic film of the same name, in both digital and physical formats on Friday, July 28. The show is created by Cinco Paul (music, lyrics and book) and Ken Daurio (book), writers of the international hit animated films The Secret Life of Pets, Horton Hears a Who!, The Lorax, and Despicable Me 1, 2 & 3. Bubble Boy is the second major project for Daurio and Paul this summer, with their new film Despicable Me 3 currently in cinemas nationwide. Ghostlight Records is celebrating the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical WAR PAINT - starring two-time Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole - with a special in-store event at Barnes & Noble today, July 14 at 2:30 PM.

In partnership with the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment's Broadway in the Boros series, 'Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical!' will premiere the first outdoor screening of the film on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Williamsbridge Park Oval in the Bronx (3225 Reservoir Oval E).
