FOX has ordered nine additional episodes of the sophomore series THE RESIDENT, raising the second season order to 22 episodes, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. The provocative medical drama follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis.

 THE LAB from West Covina, CA were named the winners of NBC's “World of Dance” Season 2, receiving a life-altering grand prize of $1 million and the title of BEST DANCERS IN THE WORLD. The Junior Team impressed judges with a strong performance to Missy Elliot's “Work It” and a heartfelt performance to “Waiting on the World to Change” by John Mayer, overtaking runner-up Michael Dameski [96.0] with an overall score of 97.5.

In the newest SUPERGIRL trailer, fans get a first look at actress Nicole Maines as Nia Nal, who is CatCo's newest reporter. Nal will become the superhero Dreamer. Maines will be TV's first transgender superhero. 

Last night, four acts advanced past The Divisional Finals on NBC's “World of Dance” Season 2. These acts will compete in the World Final on September 12.

YouTube Originals and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B)  announced international singer/songwriter/producer NE-YO is returning to their groundbreaking hit original dance drama STEP UP: HIGH WATER, alongside new cast members Ashley Greene (Twilight); Dancer/Choreographer Jeremy Copeland; and multi-platinum recording artist and entrepreneur Rick Ross who is set to guest star as himself. Todrick Hall will also make a cameo playing himself. JaQuel Knight will choreograph episode three as well as make a cameo playing himself.  Series regulars Singer/Actress Naya Rivera and Actor/Comedian Faizon Love will also return for season two. In film, "The Greatest Showman," "Black Panther" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story" each received four nods. "Riverdale" leads in television with seven nominations, while "Stranger Things" follows with five and "The Bold Type" with four.
