David Robertson to Conduct New York Philharmonic, 2/25-2/27

In his second week with the New York Philharmonic this season, David Robertson will lead the Orchestra in Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, Barber's Violin Concerto, with Gil Shaham as soloist, and Bartók's The Wooden Prince (complete, with surtitles to indicate story line). The concerts will take place Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m., and Saturday, February 27 at 8:00 p.m.

Company XIV, a Black Book Magazine ‘Icon Of The Future', presents an Apple Triptych featuring the World Premiere of their family holiday show Snow White, a revival of Le Serpent Rouge and a revival of The Judgment of Paris. All three dance-theater shows are conceived, directed and choreographed by Austin McCormick, with adapted text also by McCormick. The shows run from December 3, 2009 to January 17, 2010 in a limited 7-week engagement at the company's home space at 303 Bond St. (between Union & Sackett) in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Previews begin December 3 and openings begin December 10.

After a successful run on Broadway this Fall in the Donmar Warehouse's production of Hamlet, it seems Jude Law wants more of the Great White Way. According to IMBD News, Jude Law would consider performing in an all singing/dancing musical.

Acclaimed actors Martin Sheen and Olympia Dukakis, legendary rock musician Ray Manzarek of The Doors, and poets Michael McClure and Anne Waldman are set to join Judith Malina and other artists for a one-night-only gala to benefit The Living Theatre on Friday, December 18, beginning with cocktails and dinner at 6pm, followed by a program of music and performance at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan.
