Seaside Summer Concert Series Presents Latino Music By The Sea 8/11

On Thursday, August 11, the 33rd annual Seaside Summer Concert Series at Coney Island, hosted by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, will welcome El Gran Combo, Our Latin Thing: A Tribute to the Fania Allstars and the Maria Torres Dancers to the annual Latino Music by the Sea show.

Beginning July 11 and through August 22, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will host the 33rd annual Seaside Summer Concert Series at a new location in Coney Island and the 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series at Wingate Field in Crown Heights/Central Brooklyn.

The Friars Foundation is an important contributor to the Performing Arts. Academia recognizes the Friars Foundation as an upfront organization due to their activist scholarship programs. Nine universities with solid performing arts departments have granted scholarships to qualified students. Over the past decade the Friars Foundation has been responsible for 360 Performing Arts scholarships. Many of these students are now employed on Broadway, Hollywood and wherever stages are being prepared for performances.
