THE BOOK OF MORMON returned to Broadway with a Free Fan Performance on Thursday, November 4 at 8:00 pm at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre (230 West 49th Street). Regular performances resumed Friday, November 5, 2021.

Casting is being announced for the Broadway return of THE BOOK OF MORMON. The production, the winner of nine 2011 Tony Awards including Best Musical and the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album, resumes performances on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre (230 West 49th Street). 

Progressive Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director, Gregory Omar Osborne, is slated to stream THE GOSPEL AT COLONUS on November 26th, 2020 via ShowTix4U.

Black artists and entrepreneurs have joined together for #TheWalkoutProject, a movement beginning July 4th to support Black businesses.

Last week, the Mayor ordered a shutdown of all Cultural Arts Spaces in order to protect everyone's health and safety in response to Covid-19. Today the governor ordered that 100% of non-essential workers must stay home; effectively shutting down the city. We are in the midst of an unprecedented crisis. However, this world, our one singular world, has been in crisis for some time, from sociopolitical & institutionalized oppression to the growing climate emergency.

Splashy casting news is plenty exciting but we're taking a moment to give a shoutout to the casts of some of Broadway's long-running shows. Meet the current cast of The Book of Mormon below!

Join the Black Broadway community as they perform inspirational cover songs at Darkness RISING: Live 2. The concert benefits Darkness RISING Nonprofit, an organization which focuses on mental wellness in the Black community. The event will be held at the Knitting Factory Brooklyn at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). Knitting Factory is located at 361 Metropolitan Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The evening will incude vendors, raffle prizes, a silent auction and a full bar, and will be hosted by Broadway Black's Drew Shade. Tickets can be purchased at bkknittingfactory.com.

Michael Haynie, who was seen last on Broadway in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Jesus Christ Superstar: Live!, join the previously announced cast of Arrowhead, A New Musical which includes Bonnie Milligan (Head Over Heels), Doug Plaut (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt, Hurricane Bianca 2), Nikhil Saboo (Mean Girls),  Dani Shay (The Glee Project, America's Got Talent), Lauren Zakrin (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812), Laquet Sharnell Pringle (Memphis, Beautiful the carol King musical), Amber Ardolino (Hamilton, Head Over Heels), Becca Kotte (Gettin' The Band Back Together, Rock of Ages), Dan Domenech (Heathers the Musical, Glee), Jasmin Richardson (Gettin' The Band Back Together, Bodyguard the Musical) and Miles Davis Tillman, Mollie Posnik, Meadow Nguy. Gettin' The Band Back Together cast members reunited to sing their faces off at Broadway Sessions this past Thursday night. Performers included cast members Becca Kotte, Garth Kravits, Lindsey Brett Carothers, Ian Ward, Scott Foster, Noa Solorio and Mitchell Jarvis.
