Telsey and Co. Hold Open Call for ANNIE on Broadway Today

Telsey and Co., casting office for the new Broadway production of ANNIE, will hold an open call today, June 12, for girls ages 6-12 to audition for the roles of Annie and the orphans. The production, directed by Tony Award-winner James Lapine, will open in fall 2012 at a Nederlander theatre to be announced.

Stage 48 Productions, in collaboration with Wishing Star Theatre, is proud to present Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods. Originally on Broadway in 1987, this dazzling score brings to life fairy tale characters, who are forced into the woods to obtain certain wishes and desires. The show is a beautiful portrait of relationships, moral issues, and the lessons we teach our children.

Telsey and Co., casting office for the new Broadway production of ANNIE, will hold an open call on Sunday, June 12, for girls ages 6-12 to audition for the roles of Annie and the orphans. TDF Holds OPEN DOORS Graduation, 6/6

Over 350 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the 28 mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 6pm on Monday, June 6 at NYC Center Stage 1 (131 West 55th Street, NYC). This year has been Open Doors biggest year ever with a total of 28 mentors and guest mentors working with 21 groups of students from New York City high schools.

LYSISTRATA JONES Opens Tonight

Transport Group Theatre Company, the winner of a special Drama Desk Award and two OBIE Awards, presents the New York premiere of LYSISTRATA JONES, a new musical with a book by Douglas Carter Beane; music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn; directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges. Previews began Sunday May 15 on the basketball court of the Judson Memorial Church Gymnasium, 243 Thompson Street at Washington Square South. Opening is Sunday, June 5, at 8pm.
