Laugh out loud this holiday season with Aurora Theatre's return of the delicious one-woman show, The 12 Dates of Christmas, entertaining audiences November 28-December 19! While the most wonderful time of the year beckons outward displays of affection, Aurora sweetheart Jaclyn Hofmann takes audiences on a different adventure into the mishaps of one woman's attempt to get her jingle back in the world of dating! A limited four-week engagement, this holiday smash-hit is perfect for any occasion.  

This evening, Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. revealed nominations for the 2014-2015 Atlanta professional theatrical season. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Horizon Theatre. Guest announcers included the ladies of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project: Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Tiffany Porter, and Megan Rose.

Tonight, the Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. revealed nominations for the 2014-2015 Atlanta professional theatrical season to theatre patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party, which rotates venues, was hosted this year by Horizon Theatre. Guest announcers included the ladies of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project: Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Tiffany Porter, and Megan Rose. Aurora Theatre Academy's extensive array of Summer Camps for 2015 are right around the corner. Enrollment is now open for a coveted spot. Aurora Theatre Director of Education, Jaclyn Hofmann, has put together an incredible team of teaching professionals, most of whom you will recognize from professional theatrical productions around Atlanta or from the screen anywhere from Georgia Lottery commercials to HBO. This summer, Aurora Theatre Academy will prepare students of all skill levels to perform like professionals.  Located on the square in downtown Lawrenceville, all classes will culminate in a showcase in Aurora's exquisite facility. Aurora will also offer students both financial need and talent-based scholarship opportunities.

With its fast-paced and witty dialogue, the show takes audiences on a journey of juxtaposition of feminine ideals against the oppressive backdrop of conservative 19th century Great Britain.

Aurora Theatre will host Free PLAY Day, a one-day FREE acting workshop as part of their community outreach through the Aurora Theatre Academy today, March 14 from 11:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Prepare for an adventure filled with zany humor, mad science and a touch of gender inequality, oh my! Hilarity unfolds as one woman propels Victorian England's prestigious Explorers Club into a tizzy when she is nominated to join the all-male sanctum! Aurora Theatre will host Free PLAY Day, a one-day FREE acting workshop as part of their community outreach through the Aurora Theatre Academy on Saturday, March 14 from 11:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. During the day, students will be introduced to improvisation, team building and acting technique through various theatre games and exercises, as well as receive complimentary lunch generously provided by Aurora's Volunteer Guild. Free PLAY Day is open to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. In an effort to thank the community, Free PLAY Day is a way for both the theatre and artists to give back, especially to those who may not have access or means for experiences like this.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, continues 2015 with the World Premiere comedy-drama Homers from Atlanta playwright and actor, Jacob York, and directed by well-known Atlanta director Jaclyn Hofmann. The new play runs at GET tonight, February 26th through March 15th, 2015 at the Theatre's home, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA. The Weird Sisters Theatre Project continue their 2014 summer season with Late: A Cowboy Song by Sarah Ruhl at Actor's Express theatre, July 21-August 5. The play is an early work of the award-winning playwright about perpetually late Mary, a woman who is desperately searching to find herself.
