One more show has been added to DHT's production of Disney's Newsies for Friday, August 10 @ 7:30PM. The show runs from July 13 - August 12. Shows are Thursdays - Sundays (except for opening and closing week). Evening shows start at 7:30PM for Thursday - Saturdays. Sunday shows are at 4:00PM and Saturday matinees are at 3:00PM.

Inspired by the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, Disney's NEWSIES is set to kick off Aurora Theatre's 23rd season with rousing dance numbers and non-stop fun for the whole family! This high-energy musical is set to soar onto the mainstage July 19 -September 2, where audiences will follow charismatic Jack Kelly and his ragged band of teenaged "newsies" as they strike against an unfair system in New York City at the turn of the century.

Acts of Kindness Theatre Company (AOK) is spreading the news about their summer blockbuster musical hit, Disney's' NEWSIES! The show will be produced LIVE on stage at The Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, PA, July 27, 28, 29 and August 3, 4 and 5. Friday's and Saturday's showtime is at 7 p.m. Sunday's showtime is at 2 p.m.

Jeremy Jordan has begun to move his schedule to make way for his upcoming return to Broadway! As previously announced, Jordan will join previously announced stars Kerry Washington, Steven Pasquale and Eugene Lee in the Broadway premiere of American Son.

The 2018 Broadway At Music Circus season continues with Disney's Newsies, which The New York Times called 'a musical worth singing about!' Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to "seize the day" with their next high-energy summer production: the hit stage version of Disney's movie musical "Newsies"! This exciting musical has music written by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein, and is based on the film written by Bob Tzudiker and Noni White.  Performances of CRT's production will be held at the Little York Pavilion in Preble, and run from July 11 - 28 with evening show times at 7:30.  Matinees are available on July 13, 15, 18, 22, and 25 at 2:00 PM.  Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or by visiting the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in downtown Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org, using the online service ETix. CRT cautions that this is the only approved online ticket service; other online sites charge significantly higher rates for tickets and are NOT approved by CRT.

You would never guess it, but Newsies was originally a flop when it came out as a Disney movie in 1992. It gained credibility and a cult following after being released to home video. The stage musical came several years later and opened on Broadway in 2012, where it was nominated for eight Tony Awards. Newsies ended up winning two, Best Choreography and Best Original Score. You will understand why when you hear the exhilarating numbers by Alan Menken, who also created the music for Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Sister Act.

SUMMER ARTS INTENSIVE will present the regional premiere of Disney's NEWSIES on July 27, 28, 30 & 31 at 7:30pm and at 2:30pm on July 29.  All performances will be held at West Fargo Sheyenne High School. On the very day that the newsboy strike began on July 18, 1899, Moonlight Stage Productions will open its second show of its summer season, DISNEY'S NEWSIES. The San Diego Regional Premiere production will run July 18 - August  4 at the Moonlight Amphitheatre.

Two sold out audiences leaped to their feet in group appreciation of 'Disney's Newsies,' a co-production of the Jewish Community Center's White Theatre (in Overland Park) and The Coterie Theatre (normally operating out of Crown Center).

The Coterie Theatre and the White Theatre at "The J," the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, will "Seize the Day" with their co-production of Disney's Newsies for a limited run opening July 7 and continuing through July 29.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, Jeremy Jordan has been hinting at a return to Broadway via Twitter. On Friday afternoon the actor tweeted the lyrics, 'It's a tune you can hum...', presumably an allusion to the song, 'Broadway Here I Come' from the NBC musical television series, 'Smash.' Jordan debuted the Joe Iconis tune on the second season of the show.
