The song is fittingly clubby, driven by a shuffling downtempo groove that supports warm synth pads and wiry leads. Where the band’s previous single, “New York,” was energetic and flashy, “Crash” is more reflective and nuanced. It highlights the stylistic range that underlines Sextile’s new album Push. Paramore will  join Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour as the opener for all 48 dates of the 2024 European leg of the tour. The European leg kicks off in Paris on May 9th and wraps in London on August 17th at Wembley Stadium, one of six nights the tour will spend at the venue. Paramore opened for Taylor Swift on the first two shows of The Eras Tour.

Jake Shears has released his new record, Last Man Dancing. The project features the new single, a brand new collaboration with Kylie Minogue (“Voices”), plus recent singles “Too Much Music” and “I Used To be In Love”. Following a recent run of support sets in the UK with Duran Duran, Shears will take Last Man Dancing on the road this summer.

The Beggar was recorded and mixed at Candy Bomber Studio, Berlin, engineered by Ingo Krauss and mastered by Doug Henderson at Micro-Moose, Berlin. The album was written and produced by Michael Gira and features contributions from recent and former Swans, members of Angels of Light, as well as Guest Swan Ben Frost.

The record was conceived between the US, Portugal, and London (where Jake relocated from his New Orleans home during the pandemic) alongside the sort of head-turning guestlist that, in Shears’ cross-pollinating universe, also makes total sense: from Amber Martin and Boys Noize to Big Freedia, Kylie Minogue, and cameos from Jane Fonda and Iggy Pop.

Returning to the Mana Wynwood Convention Center, Miami’s III Points Festival will celebrate its success in putting counterculture music on the South Florida map over the last 10 years. III Points has become a staple in Miami's cultural landscape, now seen as a landmark event for the region’s music community each year.

Throughout an unorthodox career that has Grammy nominations and tours, Jake Shears has continued to shape-shift: he has not only written an acclaimed memoir (‘Boys Keep Swinging’) and performed on Broadway, but also recently opened a musical in London to rave reviews (Tammy Faye, written alongside Elton John and British playwright James Graham).

The follow-up to his acclaimed 2021 tribute album which once again finds the saxophonist reimagining the songs of the Grateful Dead with his gritty and soulful Detroit sound joined by guests including Oteil Burbridge, Bob James, Jamey Johnson, Greg Leisz, and Don Was. The bulk of production and engineering on Beneath the Brightest Smiles was handled by Gordon Raphael with mixing by Dave Rowland (Post Malone, The-Dream, Pusha T, Ellie Goulding) at Mercy Sound Recording Studios (Blondie, Cher, Snoop Dogg, TV On The Radio, Yoko Ono, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato) in NYC’s East Village.
