Americans for the Arts, the leading organization for advancing the arts and arts education in America, today announced its annual National Arts Awards honorees.

Byron 'BK ' Davis Steinway International Artist is returning to Coralville to perform a ninety minute Stevie Wonder tribute. Performances will take place Saturday, October 10 at 2:00 PM & 6:00 PM. The Quin, New York's quintessential lifestyle hotel, will inaugurate the Quin Music Series on October 7th at 7:00pm with a special performance by VINX. One of the most gifted improvisational vocalists performing today, VINX' style ranges from jazz to funk, and from bossa nova to blues, as he takes his audience on a sonic world tour. He combines soaring vocals layered with intricate melodies and grooves in the spirit of a true balladeer. Envisioned as 'an evening of storytelling through song,' VINX is scheduled to perform from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Quin Arts Sound Lounge at lobby level. He will be joined by Scott Kiefner on upright bass and Brad Myrick on guitar.

For half a century, the eminent composer/pianist Antonio Adolfo has dedicated himself to the profound exploration of jazz in the context of the great Brazilian music tradition. While all of Antonio's albums bear the unique stamp of his personal creativity and singular artistry, and feature many of his own compositions, he has often recently focused upon Brazil's classic composers as well as the rich musical history and culture that have provided the landscape for one of the world's most beguiling musical legacies.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Jacques Lacombe welcome legendary saxophonist Branford Marsalis for the Orchestra's 2015-16 opening-weekend concerts, this weekend, September 25-27 in Newark and New Brunswick.

Grammy Award-nominated concert pianist Lang Lang makes his first of three appearances at Carnegie Hall this season with a solo recital on Friday, October 23 at 8:30 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The concert features Bach's Italian Concerto, BWV 971-a complex and pioneering work inspired by Vivaldi-along with Tchaikovsky's The Seasons, Op. 37b and Chopin's four scherzos. By the time he was 22 years old, the acclaimed pianist had already performed twice at Carnegie Hall -with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yuri Temirkanov in 2001 and with the New York String Orchestra under Jaime Laredo in 2002-before making his sold-out solo recital debut in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on November 7, 2003, which was recorded live by Deutsche Grammophon.

When choreographer Heidi Duckler premieres the first episode of her four-part Dance Telenovela in Los Angeles next week, her core company dancers will be in great musical hands. Violinist Lili Haydn and pianist Bill Goldstein will join Duckler's dancers for an improvised collaboration. The virtuoso duo recently released a completely improvised album.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents the world's leading flamenco guitarist Paco Peña, October 24 at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Peña's latest show Flamencura features the renowned flamenco master, known for his rapid flourishes and delicate shading on guitar, and a group of impassioned dancers, singers and musicians in a fiery tribute to the rich history of the treasured art form.

The Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition is the world's most visible jazz vocal competition of its kind and provides a platform for one outstanding female singer to launch a career in the music industry. The competition started in 2012 and was co-produced by NJPAC and JAZZ ROOTS, a Larry Rosen Production. Jazz fans are invited to review and vote for entries online; then five finalists are selected for a live performance at NJPAC as part of the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, where a panel of expert judges decides the recipient of the SASSY Award.

Twelve-year-old jazz pianist Joey Alexander will be the featured entertainer at the Colorado I Have A Dream Foundation 2015 Gala Thursday, November 5

It's a double billing of out-of-this stratosphere musicianship as two renowned Grammy winners - jazz trumpeter Chris Botti and classical violinist Joshua Bell - take to the stage tonight, August 15. Botti and Bell deliver impassioned, ageless, genre-crossing music to St. Regis Big|Brave Stars, Bright Nights concertgoers, beginning at 7 p.m.

With his well-received 2013 debut 'Completely,' keyboardist/composer Michael Gallant emerged as a stylistically omnivorous musical force, 'an artist unafraid and bending the tradition,' in the words of one critic. Gallant continues to explore his disruptive musical proclivities on his sophomore release, 'Live Plus One,' due out October 9 from his Gallant Music label.
