The newly announced slate of Visiting Artists for April brings the return of Cindy Williams to the Playhouse, the Bucks County premiere of Ray Didinger’s popular play, “Tommy and Me” with special guests at each show including Eagles great Harold Carmichael and the lively “Bennie and Jets: an Elton John Tribute.” 

Cindy Williams will take the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater stage at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in her one-woman show, Me, Myself & Shirley for a limited two-show engagement April 16, 2022.

The new guests include Helen Mirren as renowned Shame Wizard Rita St. Swithens, Hugh Jackman as Dante the seductive Addiction Angel, Lupita Nyong’o as Asha the Shame Wizard, Chris O'Dowd as Flanny the Lovebug, and Harvey Guillen as Jose the Spider Receptionist. Family Squares is a film is written and directed by Stephanie Laing (‘Veep’) as a love letter to her family, the South and to small town America. A film about a matriarch who wants to unite her family before she passes, it is a personal film to Laing based on the passing of her mother.

Cindy Williams will take the national stage starring in Me, Myself & Shirley, a one-woman show, for a limited US tour across nineteen cities beginning in January 2022.

Linda Purl has the kind of career that actors dream of. Since she began in the 70s on the daytime drama Secret Storm, she has rarely had a period in which she was not working. She has appeared in films like Crazy Mama, Visiting Hours, Mighty Joe Young, and Fear of the Dark. She has appeared on Broadway in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Getting and Spending, and Off-Broadway in The Baby Dance. With over 50 television movies to her credit, she is a perennial presence on the small screen. She has had recurring roles on Matlock, Murder, She Wrote, The Office, Homeland, and The Oath, among dozens of others. She has the distinction of having played two different characters on the classic sitcom Happy Days. In Season 2, she played Richie Cunningham's girlfriend Gloria. Eight seasons later she played the Fonz's fianceé, Ashley.

L.A. Theatre Works will segue from the digital stage to in-person performance in 2021-22 with a seven-play season of audio theater.

It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at MonstersUniversity and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated.

The bronze statue is dressed as Mrs. Cunningham from the 'Happy Days' series, which ran for 10 years from 1974-1984 and was sculptured using a screen accurate replica of a costume that Marion wore on the show and is seated on a park bench reaching out to invite any passerby to join her.

Theatre In The Heights will present The Dinner Party by Neil Simon. Directed by Blake Flores.

Comedy Works has announced that Jeff Dye will perform at Comedy Works South at the Landmark.

On Saturday, May 22nd at 7:00pm EST, Play-PerView will live stream AYA or Dear Lover by Fernanda Coppel (King Liz, “How To Get Away With Murder”).  Directed by Estefania Fadul, this production will feature Raul Castillo (“Looking,” “Atypical”), Tina Huang (“Rizzoli & Isles,” “Arrow”), and Roxana Ortega (“The Casagrandes,” “American Vandal”).
