INSPIRATIONAL BROADWAY -- an evening of Broadway, R&B, Gospel, and Pop classics featuring four of Broadway's brightest lights and an ensemble of uplifting voices -- will debut at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on February 15, 2016 at 7:30 PM (Doors at 6:00 PM).

The Philly POPS will accompany world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli in concert at the Wells Fargo Center at 8pm on December 12, 2015. For the first time in a decade, Andrea Bocelli will perform in Philadelphia, marking a milestone collaboration with the Philly POPS. Joining Bocelli and the POPS on stage are operatic soprano Aido Garifullina and Heather Headley-a Tony and Grammy award winner.

Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV) are welcomed back to First Corinthian Baptist Church for their holiday concert, HOW GREAT OUR JOY, on Monday December 14th at 7:00pm. The concert will feature music from their upcoming album Great Joy II: Around the World, with members from such shows as: HAMILTON, ON YOUR FEET!, THE LION KING, THE COLOR PURPLE, BOOK OF MORMON, FUN HOME, KINKY BOOTS and ALADDIN.

Just last night, Feinstein's/54 Below presented the debut of Jennifer Diamond, currently co-starring in the smash hit musical RUTHLESS!. Jennifer's new show IT'S MY FIRST TIME (PLEASE BE GENTLE) was directed by Broadway veteran Richard Jay-Alexander. The two first worked together on LES MISERABLES and a number of benefits and Jay-Alexander found her uniquely talented and versatile enough to put a special spin on a debut act for her, recounting her arrival in the business, her story as an up-and-coming actress and all the good (and bad) that goes with it.

Beginning tonight, October 5, Jennifer Diamond will assume the roles of Louise Lerman and Eve Allabout in RUTHLESS! THE MUSICAL at St. Luke's Theatre in the heart of the Theatre District.

For the first time in over a decade, Andrea Bocelli will return to Philadelphia as part of his December 2015 North American tour accompanied by The Philly Pops and conducted by Eugene Kohn. Tony and Grammy Award winner Heather Headley will be the special guest along with Soprano Aida Garifullina. The concert will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 8 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center. Bocelli brings his unmatched repertoire of soaring arias, famed love songs, and crossover hits to his Philadelphia fans who have waited for more than a decade for the Tenor's return. The Philly POPS Subscribers and Patrons will receive special presale opportunities. Special VIP packages will also be available through the Philly POPS.

September marks the launch of Broadway Inspirational Voices (BIV) new podcast series geared to highlight the amazing talent and voices that make up the incredible choir. The series start with none other than BIV's director and founder Michael McElroy. The podcast is hosted by Drama Desk winner, voiceover veteran and choir member Steve French.

Beginning Monday, October 5th, Jennifer Diamond will assume the roles of Louise Lerman and Eve Allabout in RUTHLESS! The Musical at St. Luke's Theatre in the heart of the Theatre District. She's replacing Tracy Jai Edwards who is departing the show to appear in the new musical Gotta Dance, directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell.

Today in 2000, Aida opened at the Palace Theatre, where it ran for 1852 performances. Aida is a musical with music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls, and David Henry Hwang. Aida was nominated for five Tony Awards and won four Tony Awards in 2000, including Best Musical Score and Best Performance by a Leading Actress. Aida was also named by Time Magazine in 2000 as one of the top ten theatre productions of the year. The First National tour was nominated for nine National Broadway Theatre awards (now 'Touring Broadway Awards') and won five awards, including Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Actor, and Best Actress.
