Everybody say, YEAH! The Canadian premiere of the Tony Award-winning KINKY BOOTS officially opens tonight, June 28 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, after playing previews since June 16.

KINKY BOOTS book writer and Broadway star Harvey Fierstein penned a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter following today's Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage. He credits the arts for introducing society to the values and ideas that made this morning's ruling possible.

Playwright Jonathan Tolins (author of BUYER & CELLAR and TWILIGHT OF THE GOLDS) coined the phrase 'The Last Sunday in June' and turned it into a landmark play which debuted in 2003 at the Rattlestick Theater starring Arnie Burton, Donald Corren, Jonathan McClain, Susan Pourfar, Mark Setlock, Peter Smith, David Turner and Matthew Wilkas and directed by Trip Cullman. According to Variety, 29 honorees from the worlds of motion pictures, television, live theatre, radio and recording have been tapped to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year. Among them are Broadway's KINKY BOOTS co-creators Harvey Fierstein & Cyndi Lauper, as well as ELEPHANT MAN star Bradley Cooper.

At Broadway Bares: Top Bottoms of Burlesque, a corset-wearing Laverne Cox lit up the stage in a fierce reversal of the infamous casting couch, turning the tables on smoldering casting director Casey Lee Ross and his bevy of beauties, choreographed by Kellen Stencil. Disney Theatrical Productions, Shea's Performing Arts Center, and Albert Nocciolino announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Buffalo engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public today, June 20th at 10:00 AM. Tickets start at $35.  The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at Shea's Buffalo Theatre on September 29th for a limited engagement of one week through October 4th as a part of the M&T Bank 2015-16 Broadway Series.
