Theatrical Outfit stages THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, Now thru 9/7

Theatrical Outfit begins its Season of Compassion with the dramatic comedy The Savannah Disputation, written by Georgia-born playwright Evan Smith and, he says, inspired by today's politics and his Savannah grandmother. The show will run August 21 - September 7, 2014. The show will feature Alex Bond, Lane Carlock, Shannon Eubanks and Mark Kincaid. This is the 38th season for Theatrical Outfit, the second-oldest professional theater company in Atlanta, and the home of stories that stir the soul.
Clarence Brown Theatre Welcomes New Advisory Board Members

The Clarence Brown Theatre, one of thirteen professional LORT (League of Regional Theatres) theatres on a university campus in the country, announced its newly appointed Advisory Board members. The Advisory Board is the link to the community, overseeing major events and fundraisers, the CBT Society Scholarship, and engaging the community to grow the theatre's support.

The Man in Black was a man like no other, and now Barter Theatre celebrates his music, life and legacy in the joyous musical 'Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash.' Starring Barter audience favorite Jason Petty as Johnny Cash and new talent Katie Deal of Georgia as June Carter Cash, the show opens tonight, August 15 at Barter's Main Stage. The Clarence Brown Theatre will host a 40th Anniversary Season Plaza Party on Saturday, August 9 from 4:00-7:00pm. A family-friendly event, the party will feature door prizes, music, games, food carts, backstage tours, a special season ticket package price, and info on the new season.
