The Des Moines Community Playhouse has an outrageous, terrific, enchanting, legendary season. The theatre's 96th season includes four iconic musicals, plus dramas, comedies, and family shows.

For this 25th Anniversary Season, SteppingStone continues that long history with this re-created production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!

Two heartwarming holiday productions will come to life on the Kelsey Theatre stage at Mercer County Community College this November and December. Perfect entertainment for the whole family. The fun starts with the hilarious Christmas tale, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER. Then, join the Kelsey Players as they present their annual holiday musical, 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. As first reported on Deadline.com, actress Ruth Bradley has been cast in the lead role of ABC's upcoming pilot BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. The actress joins previously announced co-stars Darius Campbell, who will play the role of the beast, Shiro and Chris Egan.

Atlanta's season includes MADELINE'S CHRISTMAS, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, THE POLAR EXPRESS, Horizon Theatre Company's traditional THE SANTALAND DIARIES, and The Center for Puppetry Arts's RUDOLF THE RED-NOSED REINDEER.

Lindy Pendzick and husband Greg Pendzick take on the roles of Grace and her wisecracking spouse, with leading kids' roles played by Crossville's Mary Kemp, Ellie Burnett, Cory Clark, Phillip Hall, and Molly McKinney of Pikeville, plus Crossville's Katey Dailey, Chelsea Boelter, Aiden Morrison, Alli Crain, Perrianna Evans and Emery Smith, along with Andy Swafford of Bledsoe County, and Jacob Copeland of Jamestown.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a delightful family story about the true meaning of Christmas, will open at the Lakewood Theatre Company on Wednesday, December 15 at 7:30 PM. Performances continue at 7:30 PM on December 16, 17, 18,19, 20, 21and 22 at 7:30 PM. There will also be matinee performances at 2:00 PM on Saturday Dec. 18 and Sunday Dec. 19. After the opening night performance on December 15th, there will be a hot cocoa and cookie reception.
