The Hollywood Museum played host to a spectacular photo exhibit, for Mother's Day to pay homage to the matriarchs of the MOTION PICTURE MOTHERS organization and the most celebrated working moms in entertainment with loving and amusing images with their families. Actress Angela Bassett hosted this year's The Rape Foundation Annual Brunch. The brunch was attended by industry notables and emceed by actors David Schwimmer and Eric McCormack. In the theater community Jamie deRoy is a well known Broadway producer but in the Friars community she is also acclaimed as an entertainer. Friar Jamie deRoy furthermore has the distinction of being the 8th woman to become a Friar subsequent to the men's only club changing it's rules in 1988. Jamie deRoy who is usually the earliest to spot an opportunity had to wait behind the likes of Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers Gloria Allred, and Brooke Shields who were also among the first to join the Friars Club.

 Tonight, the Guild of Music Supervisors hosted its annual awards show in Los Angeles, honoring Marc Shaiman with the Icon Award and Joel Sill with the prestigious Legacy Award for his creative contribution to music in film. The evening kicked off with special opening remarks from Guild of Music Supervisors President Thomas Golubi?, and featured performances by Aimee Mann, Lukas Nelson, Spotlight Artist King Princess, and a surprise act by Marc Shaiman.
