As reported last night, the producers of the eight-time Tony award-winning musical Once today announce that Declan Bennett and Zrinka Cviteši? will lead the cast as Guy and Girl respectively in John Tiffany's West End production of the Broadway hit musical opening at the Phoenix Theatre in Spring 2013.

According to the Daily Mail, Croatian actress Zrinka Cvitesic will play the female lead in Once at the Gaiety in Dublin, February 22 before transferring to the Phoenix in London on March 16, 2013. Cvitesic will join Declan Bennett under the direction of John Tiffany.

Beginning Monday, January 28th listen to SiriusXM's "On Broadway" channel for "Once a Week" a special series with the cast of the Tony winning Best Musical, ONCE. The cast of ONCE will play some of their favorite songs from their cast album, as well as some songs performed live at the SiriusXM studios. ONCE won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical. The production was also named Best Musical by the New York Drama Critics Circle, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critic Circle and Lucille Lortel Awards.

The cast of the Broadway musical ONCE will perform at 54 Below on February 17, 2013 at 7 p.m. (doors at 5:30 p.m.).

The Second City has announced the Musical and Special Guest line-up for this year's "The Second City That Never Sleeps: Letters to Santa," a 24-hour benefit marathon of improvisational and music fun on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 6:00pm in The Second City e.t.c. Theatre (1608 N. Wells, 2nd Floor of Piper's Alley) through Wednesday, December 19 at 6:00pm. Proceeds benefit families from Chicago's Onward Neighborhood House.

John Tiffany's production of Once, winner of eight 2012 Tony awards including Best New Musical, will open in the West End in Spring 2013. With book by award-winning Irish playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh, the London production of Once will open at the Phoenix Theatre on 9 April, with previews from 16 March 2013. Currently booking to 30 November 2013, Once will be produced in the West End by Barbara Broccoli, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, Orin Wolf and Michael Rose Limited in association with New York Theatre Workshop. Prior to its West End opening Once will run at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin from 22 February - 9 March 2013.

America's favorite holiday tradition, the 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, returns to dazzle and enchant millions nationwide today, Thursday, November 22. The festivities will be featured both on NBC and CBS, each providing performances from different Broadway companies. The producers of Broadway's ONCE are seeking one five to seven year old girl to play IVANKA, the sweet natured daughter of GIRL. Actresses should be comfortable on stage and have the ability to sing. Over 20 years in the making, singer songwriter Glen Hansard released his first ever solo album, Rhythm and Repose, on Anti- Records on June 19. Best known for his work with The Frames, The Swell Season and in the feature film Once, for which he won an Academy Award, Rhythm and Repose is Hansard's debut solo album and first album of new material since his 2009 release Strict Joy with The Swell Season.
