The Emilin has announced the following upcoming events.

The Second City scoured their address book to assemble a cast of seven luminary L.A.-based alumni for their hilarious take on the beloved Charles Dickens tale of hope and redemption. The world premiere of The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" is written by Second City alums, Peter Gwinn (formerly of "The Colbert Report") and Bobby Mort (currently of "The Colbert Report"), and opens November 29, 2012, at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Previews begin November 24 and performances will run through December 30.

Planet Ant Theatre will present a remounted production of the award-winning Cancer! The Musical from November 9 through December 15 at the Boll Theatre located inside the downtown Detroit Boll Family YMCA. Throughout the run, a portion of ticket sales will benefit Gilda's Club Metro Detroit.

The Marcus Center has announced that Chicago's legendary comedy theatre The Second City will appear at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts-Vogel Hall at 123 East State St on December 6-16. The Second City's Dysfunctional Holiday Revue delivers a healthy dose of seasonal satire where neither holiday film classics, family gatherings nor Christmas carols are too sacred for a show that is the perfect alternative to the same old holiday shows.

ANNIE, the new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, went into rehearsal today in New York City with its full company. The production begins previews October 3, 2012 and opens November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). Meet the full cast below!

The Magnet Theater presents The Fourth Annual New York Musical Improv Festival from October 4-7. Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, presents the new "Laugh Out Loud Tour" from Chicago's legendary sketch comedy theatre, The Second City. Cabaret vocalist Francesca Amari will reprise her tribute show, "YOU MAKE ME LAUGH: A Love Song to Gilda Radner" tonight, May 10, 2012, at the legendary Gardenia Supper Club in West Hollywood, CA. The show, which Amari debuted at last year's Gilda's LaughFest in Grand Rapids, MI, a 10-day festival of laughter that included such notables as Bill Cosby, Betty White, Margaret Cho and more, to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Gilda's Club West Michigan.
