The design team has been announced for the all-new production of the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical The Wiz. The Wiz will launch a national tour in Fall of 2023 in Baltimore, MD before returning to Broadway for a limited engagement in the 2023/24 season. On February 7, the Martha Graham Dance Company will present a special studio event featuring a screening of the documentary Revival (2020) by New York City-based filmmaker Josefina Rotman Lyons. The film involves dance, aging, and community and features venerable Graham Company alumni Ellen Graff, Marnie Thomas Wood, and Stuart Hodes, along with renowned artist George Faison. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Lyons and several of the cast members.

The Golden Theatre was the place to be last night as Suzan-Lori Parks' Pulitzer Prize-winning Topdog/Underdog officially opened on Broadway. Directed by Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon, it stars Emmy Award-winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen, Candyman) and Tony Award-nominee Corey Hawkins (In the Heights, The Tragedy of Macbeth). Playhouse Theatre Academy will welcome back Stephanie Pope Lofgren for two exciting Fosse master classes. Stephanie is currently directing Playhouse on Park’s production of LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR AND GRILL, which tells the story of Billie Holiday’s final performance.
