According to Deadline, ABC has picked up an autobiographical single-camera comedy from MODERN FAMILY's Sofia Vergara and Latin World Entertainment. Gail Mancuso, who recently nabbed an Emmy, will direct the pilot.

MODERN FAMILY's Gail Mancuso won the Emmy for OUTSTANDING DIRECTING FOR A COMEDY SERIES. Also nominated in the category were Lena Dunham (GIRLS), Paris Barclay (GLEE), Louis C.K. (LOUIE), and Beth McCarthy-Miller (30 ROCK).

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER's Neil Patrick Harris, is telecast live coast-to-coast tonight, September 22nd (8 PM ET/5 PM PT) on CBS from the NOKIA Theater L.A.
