'Nunset Boulevard,' which stars the adorable Cindy Williams of TV's 'Laverne & Shirley' fame, is the latest installment in the well-loved series of 'Nunsense' musicals features the ever-popular sit-com star as Mother Superior, a somewhat naïve soul who takes her fellow Sisters (all from the original New York cast) to perform at the famed Hollywood Bowl...or so they believe.

As part of the eighth edition of the COIL festival, Performance Space 122 (PS122) and The Chocolate Factory present a return engagement of Hot Box, from Brian Rogers. Hot Box is a loud, dark, drunken live performance (and endurance challenge) that takes inspiration from Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now and Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo-particularly the extreme physical trials the actors underwent in order to create a genuine experience on screen. Hot Box features dancer Madeline Best and non-performer Rogers, taking center stage in his own work for the first time.

The Cinema for Peace Foundation announced today that Academy Award-winning actor, filmmaker and founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative, Ben Affleck, will be honored with the Cinema for Peace Humanitarian Award at the 2013 Gala for Humanity on January 11 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. Each year since 2002, Cinema for Peace gives the Humanitarian Award to an individual and his or her organization who has demonstrated the foresight, courage and leadership required to take a stand against extreme injustice, intolerance and inequalities.

For their show, "Together Again...For The First Time," the powerhouse duo will perform their favorite Broadway and pop hits along with stories of their early days together in New York City. Works has just announced a celebrity staged reading in celebration of The 25th Anniversary of Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias to take place on Monday, 3 December 2012 at 7pm to benefit The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This special one night only event will take place at the Lucille Lortel Theater located at 121 Christopher Street in New York City, where the original production performed.
