As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this week, the hit movie musical La La Land is being adapted into a Broadway musical. Ahead of La La Land's Broadway arrival, we have compiled five of our favorite video musical moments from the film, including performances by Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, and John Legend.

Marc Platt has announced that La La Land will be adapted into a Broadway musical directed by Bartlett Sher. The musical will feature music from the film's composer, Justin Hurwitz and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The book will be written by Ayad Akhtar and Matthew Decker. 

It doesn’t help that director Matthew Dunster plays much of Danny Robins’ script for laughs when it could have been amping up some suspense. It would have been more cohesive and had a bigger impact if it hadn’t played as a comedy for most of its 2-hour run time, though it wouldn’t have been enough to make the story land.

Playwright Danny Robins’ 2:22 – A Ghost Story will have its U.S. premiere November 4, 2022 (with previews starting October 29th) at the Center Theater Group’s Ahmanson. Matthew Dunster directs the cast of four: Constance Wu, Anna Camp, Adam Rothenberg, and Finn Wittrock.  I persuaded  Finn to chat about 2:22, as well as reminisce on some of his career highlights.

Funny Girl star Tovah Feldshuh will recur as Bat Lady in Prime Video's new series, Shelter. The character is described as a reclusive, ghostlike figure who gives Mickey (Jaden Michael) a mysterious and disturbing piece of news. The cast also include Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan, Sage Linder, and Brian Altemus.

Beloved psychologist Dr. Ruth Westheimer celebrates her 94th birthday this June, and in celebration, six-time Tony- and Emmy-nominated actor Tovah Feldshuh and the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will present a special virtual broadcast of the one-woman Off-Broadway show, Becoming Dr. Ruth.

Hulu has released the trailer for the psychological thriller “Deep Water,” starring Ben Affleck (“Gone Girl”) and Ana de Armas (“Knives Out”), directed by expert thrill master Adrian Lyne (“Fatal Attraction,” “Indecent Proposal”). The film is based on the celebrated novel by famed mystery writer Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley).

Based on the celebrated novel by famed mystery writer Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley), “Deep Water” stars Ben Affleck, Ana de Armas, Tracy Letts, Lil Rel Howery, Dash Mihok, Finn Wittrock, Kristen Connolly, Jacob Elordi, Rachel Blanchard, Michael Braun, Jade Fernandez, Grace Jenkins, Brendan C. Miller, Devyn Tyler and Jeff Pope.

The film follows a children's book writer, played by Seyfried, who is forced to confront a dark secret that has haunted her throughout her life. As she gives birth to her second child, the secret is brought back into her life, along with a new battle to survive. 

With the pandemic last year shutting down Broadway and other live shows, fiction podcasts such as Motherhacker and Red Frontier provided opportunities for Broadway actors to continue performing and entertaining audiences, via an alternative medium.

Following upon the success of last summer's virtual Will on the Hill, this year's performance will also be online with pay-what-you-will pricing.

RED BULL THEATER today announced that its offerings will continue on Monday May 3rd at 7:30 PM with a RemarkaBULL Podversation, Exploring CYMBELINE with Lily Rabe. She will join host Nathan Winkelstein, Red Bull’s Associate Artistic Director, for a conversation focused on an essential passage from Shakespeare's Cymbeline.
