After 30 years as an indispensable pillar of the downtown independent theatre community, New Ohio Theatre will conclude operations at 154 Christopher Street at the end of the current season on August 31, 2023.

The New Ohio Theatre presented an industry reading of the new play Schooled, written by Lisa Lewis and directed by Oliver Butler, starring Peter Friedman, Phoebe Strole, James Kautz and Mara Davi, with dramaturgy by Matthew Schneider.

After moving from readings in Los Angeles to a workshop in New York, the next step in the evolution of this multi-media solo show is the world premier production in the FRIGID New York Festival 2011.
