The Deep Dish Theater Company will kick off its 10th Anniversary Season with Mi Vida Loca, a smart and sexy comic drama by Eric Overmyer. Staged by Artistic Director Paul Frellick, the play will run August 27 to September 18 at the Companys home in University Mall.

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), will end its production of Eric Overmyer's 'On the Verge or The Geography of Yearning' on May 2nd. Mel Gussow, in his New York Times review of 'On the Verge...' wrote, 'Blending Tom Stoppard's limber linguistics with the historic overview of a Thornton Wilder, Mr. Overmyer takes his audience on a mirthful safari that leads from darkest Africa to Terra Incognita, spinning into time travel.'

ON THE VERGE opens in 1888, as the three adventurers - Fanny along with Mary and Alexandra - make landfall 'somewhere east of Australia and west of Peru.' Refusing Sherpas, bearers or other native guides, they brave the hills and jungles of 'Terra Incognita' with only the most essential items, including machetes, rope, umbrellas, butterfly nets, watercolors, peacock feathers, lemon drops and a rhinestone tiara for official meetings with local poobahs.
