KVPAC's Encore Players kicks off their fall 2016 Season with George Reinblatt's Evil Dead, The Musical, a Candian rock musical stage play based on the cult classic film series. Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET) Artistic Director Robert J. Farley has announced an exciting lineup of plays for the Company's 24th season of professional theatre in North Fulton County. Following an extraordinarily successful record-breaking year, the bar has been set high for GET as programming continues to grow and expand. The 2016-2017 season will take a journey through love, death, time, foreign lands, freedom fights, and even back to 1956 Memphis, Tennessee. With musicals, comedy, drama, and a world premiere, GET will once again offer an entertaining, enlightening, and illuminating variety of theatre for our patrons throughout north Georgia and beyond. Glass Half Full Theatre's original production of MISSIONARY POSITION: PLEASURE JOURNEYS FOR THE INTREPID LADY EXPLORER playing at Salvage Vanguard Theatre is a pure pleasure to experience on many levels.With an ensemble cast of three, and running at 40 minutes, not a moment is wasted in keeping the audience entertained. Lady Hortense (Jay Byrd) welcomes patrons in the lobby, engaging everyone in amusing conversation and then takes the lead, ushering everyone into the theatre. On stage we find our intrepid lady explorers posed in large frames, the effect is charming.  Margot Harley, who co-founded The Acting Company with John Houseman in 1972, will step down as its Producer effective the end of this year.  The Acting Company began with the first graduating class of Juilliard's Drama Division, which included Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers.  "They were classically trained, superbly talented and had worked together for four years," stated Ms. Harley.
